Having sold more than 500,000 copies worldwide, the compilation album contains remixes from The Fame and Fame Monster.  From a strong digital dance version of Bad Romance to a current, thumping ‘relift’ of The Fame, The Remix is a solid add for any fan of the outrageous diva of dance.

• The remix of LoveGame featuring Marilyn Manson is scary and fun at the same time—in much the same way as a House of Mirrors.  The creepy taunt he offers to the otherwise poppy dance song is unexpected, but works.
• The Africa/Toto-esque vibe of the Sound of Arrows mix of Alejandro really changes the feel of the song. It gives it a playful feel that keeps it light.
• The retake on her latest hit is perhaps the best on the album. It might make Dance In the Dark your new favorite song. At least I was humming a while after the second or third repeat. … Silicone. … Saline.
• The Stuart Price Remix of Paparazzi is another success. It feels more upbeat and romantic than the original. A light, dance take on the song, it’s got a Gwen Stefani cool to it.
• Eh, Eh may not be the most loved of Lady GaGa’s songs, but the FrankMusik remix does a lot to redeem it.  It really injects much needed life into the tune.
• There’s only one miss on the album.  It’s hard to get past the chipmunk vocals in the Passion Pit remix of the club hit Telephone.  While the new tempo has a great vibe—no one wants to know what Beyoncé would sound like if she were Alvin’s girl.

If you like remixes, drop a few bucks and download the album. It does a good job of breathing life and making some songs you may be growing weary of suddenly feel fresh again.
